Travel Fellowship

I traveled to Beirut, Lebanon with a Travel Fellowship from USC to study in the sister workshop to the main one in Damascus, Syria to study Traditional Syrian Ornamentation which included Ajami, Mosiec, and Sadaf styles.

A conceptual urban design based on traditional Syrian (shammi/damasca-n) patterns, geometries, and architecture. The creation of a conceptual urban design rooted in traditional Syrian patterns and geometries serves as a further exploration of the significance of architectural form and purpose.
